Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair RemovalThe laser emits a beam of light that passes through the skin, to the hair follicle. The energy is absorbed by the pigment and transformed into heat, which destroys or disables the follicle. The treatment parameters are chosen to damage the hair follicle cells and not the rest of the skin. Hair grows in cycles.Lasers are most effective at targeting the growing hair because there is more melanin pigment in the bulb at the root of the hair follicles. With each treatment some follicles are destroyed, some are shrunk into fine hair, and others are shocked into prolonged dormancy. Multiple treatments produce the best results.
There is no ideal single hair removal laser that treats patients with light and dark skin equally efficiently, effectively  and safely. We utilize different hair removal lasers individualizing each choice for our patients needs.
