Photo aging occurs when excessive sun exposure accelerates the skin's natural aging. This is seen more frequently in smokers and those who do sun tanning but may be seen in anyone. Photo aged skin may show freckles, age spots, surface roughness, mottled pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and broken or dilated superficial blood vessels.
Our Skin Scanner is a specialized Wood’s Lamp. This may show changes not yet visible to the naked eye. These changes can often be reversed before they become more advanced. Examination with this special ultraviolet light detects skin problems in the form of different colors for different conditions. This assists us to recommend the perfect treatments and products to repair, correct and remedy present and future skin issues. It also helps us to see results before and after treatment and to monitor progress with a series of skin care treatments.
Professionalism requires us to invest in high quality equipment. These tools enable us to be more accurate with our diagnostic analysis, and more effective in our treatments.
